The Brasília Cathedral, officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady Aparecida, is a striking example of modern religious architecture and a symbol of Brazil’s innovative spirit. Designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer, the cathedral was completed in 1970 and is located in the heart of Brasília, the country’s capital. The structure is characterized by its unique hyperboloid shape, consisting of 16 curved concrete columns that soar upwards, forming a crown-like design.
